New Charges and Payments data

The Pellucid Team is proud to announce the addition of CMS charges and payments data to whynotthebest.org.  We are now reporting Average Covered Charges and Average Total Payments for 100 of the most-billed DRG discharge categories.

This data can be found under the "Health Care Costs - Cardiac", "Health Care Costs - Joint", and "Health Care Costs - Other" categories on whynotthebest.org, or by searching pellucid at pellucid.ipro.org/dba with user: public and pw: tryloyw.

Pellucid has also been recently updated to include CMS' quarterly data release of hospital Process of Care measures (covering 2011-10-01 to 2012-09-30), but as the data is still in its preliminary stages we will be taking some Quality Assurance measures before publishing the data to whynotthebest.org.

As always, we are committed to healthcare transparency and will continue to provide the public with hospital reporting data as it becomes available.
