Dear SIILK Initiative Leaders,

As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to express our appreciation for your dedication to IEN. Your time, expertise, and commitment to advancing sustainable and impact investing practices among endowments and student managed funds have been invaluable, and your leadership has played a crucial role in advancing our organization's mission.

Throughout the year, our collaborative efforts have led to significant impact, including:

• The expansion of our collaboration with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), with the inclusion of eight new HBCU institutions into the IEN membership.
• We’ve developed the Endowment Impact Benchmark (EIB), an assessment and ratings framework for endowments to report on their sustainable and impact investment strategies. We’re currently piloting the EIB with a cohort of eight endowments, and we’ll open the EIB to broader participation in 2024.
• We’ve seen a significant increase in our membership, with the addition of the California State University System, several HBCU institutions, and more, bringing our member list to over 250 organizations.
• We hosted two in-person events, the Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit, and our 2023 Fall Forum, that brought together over 500 attendees to connect with peers and learn more about sustainable and impact investing strategies.

This Giving Tuesday, we launch our end-of-year giving campaign and invite you to be a vital part of it.
