Weekly Update 1/5/2021 Saturday Mandatory Meeting | 2021 Registration | Outreach

Saturday Meeting & FRC Kickoff! The inspiring team would like to wish you a very happy new year! We hope to make 2021 our most successful, and impactful year to come. We are very grateful to have your support on this journey with us!  As usual, we are holding an InspireNC meeting next Saturday, January 9th, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This will serve to provide important updates regarding our organization, FIRST programs, and InspireNC outreach. To join the meeting, please visit the link here: https://meet.google.com/mwm-xchs-xnz  This meeting is especially important for FRC team members, as it will be the date of our FRC season kickoff; Make sure to tune in as we light the torch to ignite our season! The team will watch the Kickoff Celebration broadcast as FIRST unveils exciting new challenges for the season to come, beginning at 12PM EST. The team may stick around after the general meeting to discuss details about the season. Get Hype!

A reminder that InspireNC Meetings are now once every two weeks. We will be holding mandatory InspireNC Meetings on the first Saturday of every month. All members are required to attend, as we will be providing various organization-wide updates! Program-specific meetings will occur on a more frequent basis. For updates on your programs, make sure to stay updated on slack, and any emails from your program representatives.   As we continue our meetings this season, we would love to have your feedback regarding meeting structure, program activities, etc. If you would like to provide us with some feedback/suggestions, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/hdGgMSAPcwSTksiH6.   Thanks to all those who have come to Bafoonery Break (our weekly free time at the beginning of Saturday Meetings)! This calendar includes all the important events taking place throughout InspireNC, so adding it to your personal calendars will ensure that you don't miss out on any important events!

2020 Registration We are glad to announce the release of our database system! Now members will be able to log hours, update their personal info (name, school, age, parent(s), etc.), among many other functions. We will also be using this system to submit required items such as forms, waivers, etc.   All students (and mentors) are required to fill out the form linked here using your InspireNC emails: https://forms.gle/Lv8ZbCTSCU1bjJDX9    In order to complete your registration with InspireNC, we also require all members to read and sign all forms in the Welcome Packet.    The following forms are required to register with and participate in InspireNC this year: Member Handbook Waiver and Liability Form Diversity and Inclusion Contract Photo Release Form Safety Contract   In order to submit these forms, please send a signed pdf copy to con...@inspirenc.us

Outreach This fall, we have lots of outreach opportunities planned for InspireNC and would love for our members to get involved!   Some of these include: Building an educational STEAM platform with Lenovo Reaching out to local elementary and middle schools Working with local organizations in the Raleigh / Cary Area Creating our Online Education system If you would like to work with any of these opportunities, respond with your intent in the #outreach channel! Outreach is the best way for us to reach out to our community, spreading the impact of InspireNC while teaching our members how to handle professional and communicative environments. Lots of info about outreach will be revealed at the Saturday Meeting so be sure to join!
