■ シンポジウムの概要

画像の認識・理解シンポジウム（MIRU）は、画像の認識・理解の技術に関する国内最
大規模の会議です。
今年で29回目の開催を迎えるMIRU2026は、長崎を会場として、以下の観点から参加
者・発表者・コミュニティにとって有益な場を提供いたします。
1. 発表者にとって、多くの人に自分の研究を知ってもらい、有益なフィードバック
を得られる場
2. 参加者にとって、分野を総覧でき、トレンドや新技術を学ぶとともに人と知り合
える場
3. コミュニティにとって、日本発の挑戦的・萌芽的研究を大きく育て、国際舞台へ
の挑戦を促す場

MIRU2025を基本踏襲しておりますが、論文投稿数の増加も踏まえ、口頭発表の機会を
最大限確保するため、口頭発表をパラレルセッションに変更します。
・会議の開催形態について、MIRU2026では現地（オンサイト）開催を原則とします。
・口頭発表はパラレルセッションを基本とし、MIRU2025で廃止したロング・ショート
発表区分は引き続き廃止したままとします。
・口頭発表は「研究内容を全参加者へ伝えるプロモーションの機会」、インタラク
ティブ発表は「参加者同士の議論・交流の機会」という考え方の下、全ての投稿論
文・招待講演について、質疑応答はインタラクティブセッションで行います。
・招待講演論文では引き続き直近のトップカンファレンス・トップジャーナルに採択
された論文の著者の推薦を受け付けます（自薦可）。
・口頭発表候補論文は、電子情報通信学会の英文誌または和文誌に同時査読として投
稿できます。

行います。

■ Outline of Symposium

The Meeting on Image Recognition and Understanding (short MIRU) is the
largest Japanese annual symposium on image recognition and
understanding. This year, the 29th annual meeting of MIRU will take
place in Nagasaki. The symposium gives presenters, participants, and us
as a community, various perks:
1. As a presenter, you can highlight your research to many people and
receive valuable feedback.
2. As a participant, you can learn about the field as a whole, study
the newest research directions, and socialize with top domestic
researchers.
3. As a community, we have a platform for nurturing and promoting
Japanese cutting-edge research and make it ready for the international
stage.


Basically MIRU2026 is following MIRU2025; however, to maximize oral
presentation opportunities in response to the increasing number of
paper submissions, oral presentations will be organized into parallel
sessions.
- The symposium will be held on-site (in-person).
- Oral presentations will be organized in parallel sessions, and the
distinction between long and short presentations, which was abolished
in MIRU2025, will remain abolished.
- Oral presentations are an opportunity to convey a research idea to
all symposium participants. Poster presentations are an opportunity
for discussion and exchange among participants. Following, the Q&A for
all submitted papers and invited talks will be held in the interactive
session through poster presentations.
- You can continue to recommend your own top-conference and top-journal
publications to be considered as an invited talk.
-You can submitted both MIRU2026 and IEICE English or Japanese
Transactions under simultaneous review.

◎ Oral Presentation Track：
In MIRU2026, same as in MIRU2025, we do a single-blinded paper
evaluation for all oral presentation track papers. Please refer to the
submission schedule as shown below. More details can be found on our
website. We look forward to many submissions!
