- All accepted Papers will be published in the Eurographics Digital Library.
- All papers will be Gold Open Access (

- A selection of the best papers at ICAT-EGVE 2026 will be invited to

ICAT-EGVE 2026 :: Call for Papers (UPDATED)

The ICAT-EGVE 2026 conference will be held between September 30th and
October 2nd, 2026, at the Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia,
Brazil. The ICAT-EGVE is the merger of the 36th International
Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence (ICAT 2026) and the
31st Eurographics Symposium on Virtual Environments (EGVE 2026).
Together, these are two of the oldest international conferences in the
world on Artificial Reality and Virtual Environments.
This year ICAT-EGVE will be colocated with three brazilian
conferences: 28th Symposium on Virtual and Augmented Reality (SVR
https://svr.sbc.org.br/2026 ); 39th Conference on Graphics, Patterns
and Images (SIBGRAPI https://sibgrapi.sbc.org.br/2026 ), and 25th
Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital Entertainment (SBGames
https://sbgames.org/sbgames2026 ).

# Submissions
We invite the submission of Papers, Posters, and Demonstrations
describing novel research ideas, work in progress, recently completed
work, preliminary results, or unusual systems and applications.
ICAT-EGVE 2026 seeks inspiring submissions describing research,
applications, or systems in all areas of Virtual Reality, Augmented
Reality, Mixed Reality, Telexistence, and 3D User Interfaces, e.g.,
the following non-exhaustive list of more specific areas:
* 3D interaction for VR/AR/MR
* VR/AR/MR systems and toolkits
* User studies and evaluation for VR/AR/MR
* Telexistence, Telepresence, and Teleimmersion
* Haptics, audio, and other non-visual modalities
* Serious games and edutainment using VR/AR/MR
* Presence, cognition, perception, and embodiment in VR/AR/MR
* Novel devices (both input and output) for VR/AR/MR, and haptics
* Multi-user and distributed VR/AR/MR, Tele-immersion, and Telepresence
* Immersive projection technologies and other advanced display technologies

# Submission of Posters and Demos
Please note that there is a separate submission portal for our Posters
and Demos programme. For details, please see the Call for Posters and
Demos on the website.

# Review and Publication
* All accepted Papers/Posters/Demos will be published in the
Eurographics Digital Library and presented interactively at the
conference.
* All papers will be Gold Open Access (
https://www.eg.org/wp/eurographics-publications/ ), and are Plan-S
compliant ( https://www.coalition-s.org/ ).
* All Papers/Posters/Demos submissions will undergo a double-blind
review process and be selected by the responsible chairs for
presentation at the conference based on the reviews.
* Upon acceptance, the camera-ready version of the submission will be
included in the electronic proceedings, provided potential reviewer
comments are appropriately addressed.
* A selection of the best papers at ICAT-EGVE 2026 will be invited to
submit an extended version (for peer review) in a Special Section to
the Computers & Graphics journal after the conference.

# Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
* The Eurographics (EG) is offering a (limited) number of
scholarships for attendees of workshops and conferences through the EG
Widening Participation Scholarships. It aims to incentivise attendance
from researchers worldwide; in particular, those who belong to
underrepresented groups at EG events.
