Retreive metadata from org takes too much time

Hello!

I have following issue:

I am working on SF org with a lot of metadata. Whenever I create anything and try to pull, I need to unselect "subscribed only" checkbox. After that, "Listing metadata" takes up to 5 minutes to process. It seems that metadata is not cached, so I need to wait every time I want to work with non-subscribed metadata. 

I updated from Webstorm 2025 to 2026 recently, and I believe it worked much faster previously.

Is it possible to cache it so that I don't need to wait that long? Or maybe there is an issue with my cache?

Maybe it would make sense to add another retrieve action, which allows you to select metadata type and write the exact metadata name to retrieve a particular file from org, not refreshing all the metadata for connection?
