LWC and configuration file

When I do a compare with server or retrieve, I see a different file that stores the component configuration coming from the org than what I have locally. 

From the Org - lwcName.css-meta.xml

In my local (created from it and deploy to org with it) - lwcName.js-meta.xml

I'm not understanding where that .css-meta.xml is coming from since when I use our deployment tool I only see the js-meta.xml config file which is the correct convention.

The meta.xml file being associated with a the CSS file only occurs in style-only components. It's possible that IC2 is doing something wrong with those components. It's also possible that the CLI is doing something wrong. Can you please enable debug logging for metadata retrieval, get a log of this particular issue in action, and send that to sup...@illuminatedcloud.com for review? I'd like to see what's actually being retrieved.
