IC2 / IJ stuck in "Analyzing project" for one particular org

In the context of most SF CLI connections, I am not running into this issue, but I have a couple of different projects that share an SF CLI alias, and neither of them ever completes the "Analyzing Project" stage in IJ, hence the IDE is not really usable.

Examination of the progress dialog during analysis shows that it is repeatedly crawling the offline symbol table, apparently to no avail.  I have already flagged the containing folder as excluded, but this has not helped.

I have already invalidated caches and restarted, reopening the original affected project.  I have also created a brand new project using the same connection.  In neither case have I been able to use the IDE.

Please advise.

Alan, are there any errors in idea.log when this happens? You might try to force the IDE to rebuild its caches/indices using File | Invalidate Caches. If it's still happening after that, please let me know so that I can get more diagnostic information from you.
