translations node does not work properly?

Hello,

When I retrieve the translations metadata, it is empty. For example:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Translations xmlns="http://soap.sforce.com/2006/04/metadata"/>

I know there should be entries. I am awaiting there Translations for my Custom Labels. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think you must retrieve the translated labels/objects/etc., along with the translation metadata for them to be populated. I think they're a bit like permission sets in that regard that they're populated based on the related metadata that's included in the same retrieval request.

If expanding the retrieval to include the translated metadata as well doesn't resolve the issue, I'll likely need to get some debug logs from you to see what else might be going on.

  Ah, okay. I am subscribed to both, but I needed to retrieve them together as well. Now it looks better. Thank you.

Okay, great! Yeah, there are a few metadata types that work this way during retrieval, most notably permission sets, but I do have a vague recollection of translations as well...and of course this confirms it.
