Hi!

I'm having an issue with modified metadata during deployment. Let's say I'm trying to work on Apex Class ABC. In the recent past, a few other translation files (de.tranlsation, fr.translation, ...) were modified as well. I don't remember how exactly, but I guess it was changes I got through git.

My issue: The translated files can not be deployed to the dev sandbox I'm using as they contain invalid tags. Every time I'm working on my Apex Class ABC now, IC2 is trying to deploy the translation files as well, resulting in a partial succeed or in a complete failure.

I don't really want to fix/deploy the translation files. How can I remove them from the deployment that is triggered by the Deploy on Save action? I tried searching for an explanation on this topic, but did no succeed.

Thanks a lot
Florian

Hi. You can choose a specific scope for your deployment, either by right-clicking on a specific directory or set of selected files, or by changing the Contents drop-down in the dialog to Custom and checking exactly what you want to include in the deployment. Alternatively you could add the problematic translation files to .forceignore by right-clicking on them and clicking Illuminated Cloud | Add to .forceignore. Then they won’t be included in any deployment(/retrieval/etc.) operation. You could then remove them from .forceignore when the issues with them have been resolved.

Please let me know if that doesn’t help.
