Hey Scott!!

Is there a way to modify this project template:

Would love to do some changes to the template so it fits my workflow a bit more.

Thanks!
Rod

Hi, Rod. Right now those aren't configuable. All except for the "Illuminated Cloud" entry are templates from the CLI's project creation command, and "Illuminated Cloud" pretty much takes one of those templates and removes some files that aren't relevant for IC users.

What types of changes are you looking to make to the resulting initial state?

I have a couple of files I always add to my projects:
  • .forceignore, I have a bunch of metadata I don't use and its easier when configuring my metadata, I also compiled alot of unmanaged packages I usually don't want to see
  • .gitattributes, I like to make sure git handles my line endings properly
  • .gitignore, I like to add a couple of folders that I use locally and don't want to be tracked
Attaching the file examples

.forceignore
.gitattributes

Thanks. What I've considered doing -- and I think it would provide what you need here as well as being more general/flexible -- is allowing you to run a script immediately after project creation to post-process the project contents however you'd like. Seems like that would work for you, no?

Oh that's nice ! I could even initiate the git repo and do some other shenanigans.

Love it !

Thanks!
