Hello guys.

I would like develop and deploy Salesforce solutions by Intellij + Illuminated Cloud without use Migration Tools or other external tool.

Anybody know if it's possible deploy Salesforce by Intellij with Illuminated Cloud Using Ant Builder or not?

If is possible somebody could send me a tutorial?

Thanks a lot.

Michel, I want to make sure I understand the question. Are you asking whether you can run existing ant targets from within IntelliJ IDEA, or are you asking whether you can get away from the Force Migration Tool/ant and use only the IDE for deploying metadata?

The answer is "yes" to both, but before I provide a longer answer I want to make sure that I'm responding to the correct question.

Yes, that is correct.

I would like to use only the IDE for deploying metadata without need use external tools like workbench and Ant Migration Tool comand lines.
I remember that in Eclipse IDE we had a way to deploy without using other tools, only using IDE functions.
Is this possible in Intellij with Illuminated Cloud?

Hey Scott,

That's exactly my question.  Is there an answer to MIchel somewhere that I missed?

I see that Intellij actually has a means of deploying to multiple servers, so I'm intrigued.  Can I queue up a deployment to go out to multiple Salesforce instances at the same time?

Thanks,
Baird

Hi, Baird. You can tell IC to deploy to another connection in the deployment dialog. There's not a way to tell it to multicast to several target connections at once, though. Is that what you're asking? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding....

That makes sense.  Thanks.  I'll explore further and let you know if I have more questions.

Love the product.  It has saved me a lot of time.
