How to sync triggers created through Developer Console to Illuminated Cloud?

Hey guys,

I just created a test trigger through the Developer Console on my dev org. How do I then sync that trigger back into Illuminated Cloud?

Sorry for the newbie question!

Hi, Clement. I'm happy to help!

When you add new metadata to the server, you do need to tell IC to refresh its cached list of server metadata. It caches that pretty aggressively because, on more densely-populated orgs, it can be quite expensive to enumerate.  The easiest way to do that is to open the retrieve dialog, click the pencil icon beside the Contents drop-down, click the Refresh toolbar button above the metadata selection tree (assuming you're using a Selected metadata subscription), and then check the new metadata to add it. When you then click OK, the retrieve dialog will automatically refresh and you should be able to retrieve the new metadata.  If you are using a Package.xml metadata subscription, just click the Refresh toolbar button on the retrieve dialog and that should do it.

Thank you so much for the quick response! With your directions, I managed to retrieve the new metadata and sync the new trigger back into Illuminated Cloud. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Looking forward to use Illuminated Cloud more while I build on my own Apex knowledge. :)
