Hi Scott,

I am stuck at this deploying metadata thing. I have one APEX class and one Visualforce Page stored into one of our Version control system. These two files don't exist in our Salesforce sandbox org, Hence I am just trying to push them to Salesforce after downloading them from the VCS; I created the module, I created the offline symbol table.. but nothing seems to be working.
I clicked on the "deploy all Metadata" and the screen doesnt show my local classes. I tried all options.. nothing works.

See the below picture. Please let me know if I have to do anything differently.

That's quite strange.  Here are a few things to try. First, just click the refresh button on the toolbar (the left-most toolbar button).  If it doesn't show up then, what happens if you just open the file and type Ctrl+S/Cmd+S (make sure you have Override Save All Action enabled)?  Please let me know if those don't help.  I'll also try to reproduce this locally...

Regards,
Scott

I tried Ctrl+s, nothing happens.. no progress bar. Nothing else seems to be working.. Should I try downloading one from VCS in a different folder? Also, I am not sure if this is worth mentioning, I am using one of your illuminated cloud with dx plugins.. This was an early build which you released right after Salesforce started the DX pilot program. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Do you have Override Save All Action enabled under Build>Illuminated Cloud>Configure Application on the Validation and Deployment tab?  That will be required for CTRL+S to work reliably.  Otherwise if IntelliJ doesn't think the file is changed, it won't fire a save event and the file won't be deployed.  If that's the case, you can use Force Save (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F12) to force the file to be deployed to the server.  If that doesn't work, please email me your idea.log because I'll need to see exactly what's going on.  I could also do a screenshare with you later today if needed to debug the issue.  My guess is that we'll get to the bottom of it very quickly that way.

Scott

Thanks Scott for the quick reply. Yes I have that option enabled before as well. I double checked. Even the Force Save seems to be not working as well. I will email you the idea.log file.

I saw this error message in the log - Illegal Session. Session not found, missing session hash

Okay.  Yeah, shoot me the log and I'll let you know what I find, but a screenshare in a bit may be the best way to get to the bottom of this quickly for you.  Let's follow up via email once you send the log.

Regards,
Scott
