I'm trying to delete a scratch org from the list of scratch orgs I have visible in Manage Connections. When I try, I get an error:

ic2-delete-scratch-failure.png
I'm guessing that there's some incompatibility with the updated SFDX CLI commands?

I have:
  • SFDX CLI version  7.188.1-4a4bb9c.
  • IC2 version 2.2.5.7.
  • IDEA version as below.
IntelliJ IDEA 2022.2.3 (Ultimate Edition)
Build #IU-222.4345.14, built on October 5, 2022
Runtime version: 17.0.4.1+7-b469.62 amd64
VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o.
Windows 10 10.0
Non-Bundled Plugins:

Ugh...yeah, it does look like it was dropped from the command-line argument list for the force:org:list command in a very recent CLI update. I just reached out to someone on the CLI team at Salesforce as I wouldn't expect such a breaking change in what is effectively the public interface of a CLI command. Even if it's no longer needed, I would think it would still be accepted and perhaps logged as unused.

Let me see what they say before I make any changes, though, because if the removal was an oversight and it's going to be restored in a very short period of time, I'd prefer not to remove and then restore it.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention,
Scott

Okay, it looks like it was already reported to them:

and a fix has already been implemented, though it sounds like it didn't make the current released build which seemed to be a bit of a surprise to the person I spoke with:

It should be in today's RC build, and I'm chatting with them now about potentially releasing a quicker hotfix since it's obviously broken more than just IC2 based on bug filed by someone else.

I don't think I'm going to issue a fix in IC2 given that it's already being addressed where it should be addressed. I'll log an item in my public issue tracker for others who run into the same thing.

Scott Wells

Issue logged in the IC2 public issue tracker in hopes of heading this off at the pass for others encountering it:

Salesforce is currently checking to see if an immediate hotfix can be issued for this so that it doesn't have to push by a full week. Fingers crossed...

Scott

Salesforce has updated the CLI with the necessary fix. Please update the CLI and you should no longer see the issue.

Scott
