Google Apps rolls out new features on a regular basis. The IIT Google Apps team will announce major updates via IIT Today and the myIIT portal, but you can also keep track of Google Apps updates via http://whatsnew.googleapps.com/ . IIT's Apps environment is on the Scheduled Release track.

You can add the Apps update calendar to your own Google Apps calendar: http://whatsnew.googleapps.com/update-feed/add-to-calendar The Gapps - Standard Release calendar will show what features are being made available.

Google likes to perform rolling updates, so features released on a Tuesday may not show up in your IIT Google Apps account until later in the week.
