Dear all,
Kindly find the details of the Theory Talk to be held this Friday (29 March 2019).
Speaker: Swati Gaba
Title: Semantical and Mathematical paradoxes
Abstract: I will be talking about various paradoxes such as the oldest semantical paradox - Epimenides’ paradox of the liar, Richard’s paradox, Grelling- Nelson paradox and discuss upon other paradoxes such as Zeno’s paradoxes, Cantor’s paradox, etc.
Note: The talk will not be a monologue. I would set up the picture and allow the audience to find out the possible paradox to make the discussion more interesting and engaging. All students, especially the first years are encouraged to attend.
