Dear all,
Please fill the following form if you wish to attend theory talks this semester. We want to see if it would be better to schedule the talks on some other day than Friday, or even not have a fixed day at all but choose on the basis of the availability of the speaker.
Considering Dr Sankha Basu's talk needs to be scheduled for this coming week, I request that you fill the form by Monday at 12 pm (noon). Based on the responses I will be announcing when the Talk for next week will be held then.
@ Prof Sankha: I hope that will not be short notice for you in the case that Tuesday gets the majority vote.

I would also like to urge students to volunteer to give talks.
To volunteer now you simply need to enter your name, topic and a list of tentative dates in this sheet. I have put 2 entries to demonstrate the format. After you do so, someone from Évariste will contact you to discuss details.

Here are the results of the poll:
Hence this week's talk will be held on Thursday.
From now on we will be giving the speakers a choice between Thursday and Friday to present their talks.
