---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear IFMSA Family, SCOPHeroes and climate advocates!

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties 31 (UNFCCC-COP31) is taking place in Antalya in November 2026, and, as in previous editions of this important event, IFMSA will engage! As medical students, we must be able to participate in discussions about Climate Change and its connection to health, but this subject is rarely covered in the traditional medical curriculum.

The COP30 Climate Health Advocacy Lessons: From Belem to Antalya aims to capacitate our members in the climate change negotiations and prepare them not only to attend events such as SB and COP31, but also to have an understanding of how they can drive change and meaningfully engage.

COP30-CHAL will take place from 25 to 30 May, online, mostly starting at 13:00 and finishing at 17:00 GMT. Through the 5 days of the event,  the participants will have the opportunity to participate in sessions about the UNFCCC, about the intersections between Climate Change and Health and advocacy and soft skills. We will be joined by key partners to enrich the experience and will conclude with a UNFCCC-COP Simulation.

Don't miss out on this opportunity, register now and until May 12, 23:59 GMT through the registration form: https://forms.gle/9BwE99AWh6xzFyJ26
