Hi,

I finally got around to moving from SLATE 2023.11 to the latest 2024.05 release and I'm getting warning on some of my old code now that tileTick has been deprecated.

So I was wondering, is there something else I should do instead now to clean up non-local tiles I have sent around? Or does slate handle this internally somehow now?

We removed tile life and now use explicit tasks to release the tiles now. You can see an example of this in the Cholesky factorization at

Attached is an explanation from the forthcoming article, "Evolution of the SLATE Linear Algebra Library", International Journal of High Performance Computing Applications.
