Semidirect Product consruction

Hello everyone,

I want to learn how can we construct the maximal subgroup E_3^(1+2):(C_2xSp(2,3)) of the group Sp(4,3) in Magma (in here E_3^(1+2) is the extraspecial group and C_2xSp(2,3) is the direct product of the cyclic group of order 2 with the group Sp(2,3)). Especially, how can we set the homomorphism.

Hi Abdullah,

You've got the wrong MAGMA. This one is Matrix Algebra on GPU and Multi-core Architectures (MAGMA), for linear algebra on GPUs (https://icl.utk.edu/magma/).

I think the one you are using is Magma, the computational algebra system (https://magma.maths.usyd.edu.au/magma/).
