GOFS 3.1 was officially declared operational on 7 November 2018. GOFS 3.0 was turned off on the 19th or 20th last week. That also correlates
to NAVGEM 1.3 being turned off.
There will no longer be "GLBa0.08" data updates. We have switched to
the NRL formatted NetCDF files. Please use the latest operational GOFS 3.1 data products. We serve a GLBv0.08 version (see details here,
https://www.hycom.org/dataserver/gofs-3pt1/analysis) and a GLBu0.08 version (for GIS applications with mixed-grid issues as this stops at 80N).

We are now using the Forecast Model Run Collection (FMRC) as the preferred/primary *forecast* data access method. We offer the "Forecast Model Run"(s) and the "Best Time Series" (a collection of the best model runs from oldest to newest).
Note: We now offer an HTTPS secure option for downloading data via THREDDS if your organization should recommend/require this. Just switch to https:// for any non-FTP based queries.
