Notice:

Due to an issue with the Navy's data archive server (which stores all hycom output files) HYCOM.org will not be receiving any data updates until October 11th (at the earliest). There is a scheduled maintenance window at the Navy for October 11th which upon completion should resolve our data access issues.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

I see that GLBu 0.08 expt 91.2 data are back online.  Is this a temporary situation or has the Navy’s archive server issue been resolved?

Not (officially) resolved, just had the unarchive queue purged and several download scripts set to "never archive", which has helped things. About 90% of the transfer scripts copied the latest files last night (for both global and gom).

There is still a scheduled downtime on Oct 11th at the Navy to perform an upgrade on their side. Hopefully, this will resolve the data transfer issues and we can then work on filling in the gaps of missing data (between sept 20~oct 5).

Tommy,

Thanks for pointing this out. The best hindcast files are downloading
from the Navy now and will be processed with the other files tomorrow
morning.
