The data for the HYCOM GLBa0.08 model coming from the DODs server seems to be coming back corrupted.  Did something change?

syntax error, unexpected WORD_STRING, expecting WORD_WORD
context: Error { code = 404; message = "datasets/global/GLBa0.08_rect/data/uvel/rarchv.2015_314_00_3zu.nc"^;};
NetCDF: Malformed or inaccessible DAP DDS
gadsdf: Couldn't ingest SDF metadata.

I know that my SDFOPEN is working correctly – here’s a test with another remote data set.

Scanning self-describing file:  http://monsoondata.org:9090/dods/model
SDF file http://monsoondata.org:9090/dods/model is open as file 1
LON set to 0 360
LAT set to -90 90
LEV set to 1000 1000
Time values set: 1987:1:1:0 1987:1:1:0
E set to 1 1

Thanks!

Graeme

No problems from our side.
When in doubt, try again.

I have been experiencing the same problem for roughly a week.  My SDFOPEN command to extract data from the "2d" file is similar:

Coming up with very similar error messages.  Did we miss a message notifying of a change?

Found the glitch "[error opening dir]". The 3rd THREDDS server had a
stale NFS mount to this GLBa0.08_rect data. Refreshing the maps
brought it back online.

Roughly every 3rd query was hitting this stale "GLBa0.08_rect " server-map.

I'm going to put in some simple directory tree checks on our servers
to hopefully catch/show these discontinuities earlier in the future.

tree -fi /hycom/ftp | grep "\["
