Hello HYCOM users,

I'm trying to run a basin-size simulation without nesting in GLB archive files.
I am going to use similar blkdat.input as GOMb0.08 example, but setting lbflag = 0, nestfq = 0, and bnstfq = 0, and changing some parameters related to the domain resolution, such as baclin and batrop.
Would there be anything else I need to consider when running without nesting?

Especially, I'm curious about relax.rmu.[ab] (Since I've only used nest.rmu.[ab] when I did nested run), and empbal, sssbal, sstflg, relax flag in blkdat.input.
For example, in the 1/12 deg Atlantic Ocean prediction model configuration, I could find that they have set 3 deg buffer zone for relaxation.
I want to do a similar relaxation to T and S at the northern and southern boundaries.
I looked into the hycom users manual and guideline, but couldn't find answer about that.
I would be really grateful if I can get an answer!

Thanks,
Jeongin

The nest and relax rmu scripts are essentially the same except for the e-folding times.  See attached script and a recent blkdat.input for our Atlantic domain.
