Assistance to model drift between the Philippines and Indonesia

On January 17, 2026, a diving vessel with 15 passengers and crew sank in the middle of Davao Gulf, Philippines. On January 20, 2026 a survivor was found 11 nautical miles southeast off Balut Island. Then on January 24, 2026, five bodies were found 60 nautical miles south off Maitum, Philippines. The old HYCOM models and current drifts from Windy predict a northwesterly drift back towards Mindanao Island. We are requesting any modelling in this area for the next five days.
