Hi,

Am I correct in understanding that the GLBy0.08_93 file names as meaning:

hycom_GLBy0.08_93_<YYYYMMDD>12_t<TTT>_<type>.nc
hycom_glby_930_<YYYYMMDD>12_t<TTT>_<type>.nc

Where YYYYMMDD is the date for the analysis and <TTT> is the hour of forecast from that date?

For example, if I want a forecast for today and tomorrow then

YYYYMMDD12_t000 would be for that date and
YYYYMMDD12_t024 would be for the next date

And that I can adjust TTT for some hour within either day?

Thanks,
  -Steve

t000 is at the analysis time which is 12Z (UTC).  So t000 to t012 is 12Z to 24Z on the analysis day and t012 to t036 is the next day (00Z to 24Z).

If you want 00Z to 09Z on the analysis day you need to use t012 to t021 from the previous day.

Alan.
