Dear HCP Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.
I am currently using the HCP pipeline to preprocess my BOLD fMRI data, and I would like to confirm which specific output file corresponds to the stage that includes:

  • Brain extraction

  • Motion correction

  • Susceptibility distortion correction

  • But before registration to T1w or MNI space

In other words, I am looking for the preprocessed BOLD time series in native (EPI) space, after motion and distortion correction but prior to any spatial normalization or FIX denoising.

From the documentation, I believe the correct file might be:
<subject>/Results/<taskname>/<taskname>_dc.nii.gz

Could you please confirm if this is correct, or if there is another output file that best represents the “preprocessed native BOLD” at this stage?

Thank you very much for your time and help!

Best regards,
Gengchen Ye

We don’t offer that.  We have considered adding an fMRI timeseries in the subject’s physical AC-PC aligned space.

Matt.
