Hi!

I have access to the restricted data but I am unable to find a file containing the exact age of the participant. Am I missing it somewhere on the BALSA site or do I need to contact someone to get the data?

Thank you!

Kandace

Hi Kandace,
Did you register for a BALSA account? Did you send a message to Erin Reid (er...@wustl.edu) to transfer your Restricted Access to your BALSA account? If so, please send me your username and registered email off list and I'll make sure it's been transferred.

If you have activated restricted access in BALSA, on the HCP-YA 2025 Release page, click the "Restricted access-Disabled" button to enable viewing and downloading of the RA data. Then 1) click on "Export CSV" and select All Columns or 2) select the data you need with the Column Selector and then click on "Export CSV" and select Selected Columns.

Best,
Jenn

Hi Bokyeong,
We'll look into this and let you know when it's working.

Best,
Jenn

I followed the procedure suggested in another user’s response:

  1. clicking on "Export CSV" and selecting All Columns, or

  2. selecting the data I need with the Column Selector and then clicking on "Export CSV" and selecting Selected Columns.

However, instead of starting the CSV download, the screen just shifts to the center and nothing happens. Could you let me know how to resolve this issue?

Sincerly,

Bokyeong

Hi everyone

I am facing the exact same issue as Bokyeong.
I have an account and I can click the "Restricted access-Disabled" button to enable viewing and downloading of the RA data.
I have installed the IBM aspera tool, but when I click on "export CSV" nothing happens.

Could you please help me?
Thanks in advance
Best
Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

I can’t reproduce your issue. You do not need Aspera to download the non-imaging CSV files. Have you agreed to the Open Access Data Use Terms? Could you please take screenshots of your process so we can troubleshoot?

Best,

Jenn
