Hi AABC/HCP-Aging team,

I am currently working with AABC Release 2, particularly with the parcellated resting-state fMRI timeseries available in the IDP files.

I was wondering whether the motion summary files, specifically Movement_RelativeRMS_mean.txt, are available for these parcellated timeseries or within the IDP release. This would be very helpful, as I would like to include motion as a covariate in my analyses without having to download the full preprocessed resting-state fMRI dataset, which is several TB in size.

I also wanted to ask whether these motion files are included in the concatenated resting-state fMRI outputs, if not directly available in the IDP files.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Annachiara Crocetta (University of Turin)

Hi Annachiara,
Movement_RelativeRMS_mean.txt is only available in the Resting State Preprocessed Recommended package (not Concatenated or in the IDPs) currently. See this thread for a comparison of the file contained in the Resting State vs. Concatenated Recommended packages.

If you do not require all the subjects or to manage space, you could download groups by adjusting the list of subjects using the "Save Custom Subject Group" button in the "Selected Subjects" section of the AABC Release 2 page.

We do have plans to have a command line REST-like interface for BALSA, but it isn't yet in place and is dependent on the organization of data collection that is ongoing so we don't have an ETA.

Best,
Jenn

Great! Thanks, that was really helpful, especially knowing about the subject selection option.

Best,
Annachiara
