Hello!

Our research group (Germany) initially had access to the CCF repository (via the Data access group of ABCD) on the NIMH Data Archive (NDA). Our access to that repository has expired. However, we would like to renew our access to the repository, to further download more data from the dHCP as well as the Lifespan Baby Connectome Project. Currently there is a banner on the NDA website saying "This repository is under review for potential modification in compliance with Administration directives".

Could someone please let me know what the current procedure is to gain access to the repository? Shoud we request access again via NDA or in another hosting platform? We had a DUC when we initiated access in 2023. Do we need a new DUC?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Sayani Banerjee

Hi Sayani,
As far as I know NDA is the only repository sharing the Lifespan Baby Connectome Project. dHCP may be available elsewhere, but I don't know the details for that. You do need to reapply for an NDA Data Use Certification for the CCF sharing group via the PIs Data Permissions page: https://nda.nih.gov/user/dashboard/data_permissions

Unlike in the past, only PIs with an eRACommons account can be the lead recipient on an NDA DUC. Everyone added to a DUC must have an NDA account be from the same institution (listed the same way exactly in their user profiles) with Federalwise Assurance.

The banner on the NDA website saying "This repository is under review for potential modification in compliance with Administration directives" is something that has been added to many US government websites since last January. We have not identified or heard of any modifications to our datasets on NDA to date.

Best,
Jenn

Note that the terms of the NDA DUC specify that you are supposed to delete the data if you don't have an active DUC.  You should be maintaining an active DUC as long as you are working with the data from the project, not just because your access expired and you want to download more data.
