Dear list,

I would like to show Glasser atlas with only contours (without colors) and label names overlay. When I open the Glasser atlas via a standard scene and then toggle off all the layers I get the view that I need, but only for the left hemisphere (attached). Alternatively, when I open some default HCP scene and overlay Glasser_Q1-Q6_RelatedValidation210.CorticalAreas_dil_Final_Final_Areas_Group_Colors.32k_fs_LR.dlabel.nii I get contours, but without labels overlaid (attached). Any suggestions how to reach what I need, in either of the approaches or better in both ?

Many thanks.
Vadim

Perhaps you need to turn off the labels in all off the tabs?

Matt.

Thanks, Matt. But this does not help. On/Off of labels just removes the coloring.
Any layer image on the Glasser's scene works only for the left hemisphere.
But it seems that in order to see region names overlaid on the brain, I need annotations. Just loading Glasser_Q1-Q6_RelatedValidation210.CorticalAreas_dil_Final_Final_Areas_Group_Colors.32k_fs_LR.dlabel.nii  as a layer on a standard HCP scene does not add annotations. So, I guess this is why I cannot  not see the names of the regions.

Doing what I told you to do to the scene file looks like the attached.  Is that not what you wanted?

Hi Vadim,

If you don’t have the necessary annot files for both hems they are available via the following BALSA reference dataset:

In https://balsa.wustl.edu/reference/show/6V6gD

MMP_areas_tangential_32k_bothHems_flat_only.wb_annot

MMP_areas_tangential_32k_bothHems_inflated.wb_annot

And the easiest way to display black areal borders without filling is to click the ‘wrench’ icon for the (dlabel.nii) layer of interest

Then in the popup Display and Map Settings: Labels: select Drawing Type: Outline Color and Outline Color: Black

I hope this helps.

David

Amazing, thank you so much David!
What I missed is that I can load directly the *.annot file. The HCP_S1200_CorticalParcellations_BALSAref.scene also gives nicer, more thin border lines between regions.
