Dear HCP Support Team,

I am trying to obtain AWS S3 access credentials through BALSA for the HCP-Young Adult dataset. I have already accepted the HCP-YA Data Use Terms, but I receive the error “Something went wrong” immediately after clicking “Get/Reset AWS S3 Access.”

My intended data is resting-state fMRI for subject 106001. I would appreciate your help determining whether this is an account-permission issue or a problem with the AWS credential-generation system.

Could you please advise me on how to resolve this?

Thank you.

Hi Hamza,
AWS requires your username to not have any spaces within it (yours has two). We recommend registering for another BALSA account and agreeing to the HCP-YA terms then trying to get AWS credentials with that account.

Best,
Jenn
