Dear HCP Data Users Mailing List,
I would like to set up an HCP-like multi-shell dMRI protocol on our Prisma magnet in Rochester.
This link provides more information..
https://humanconnectome.org/storage/app/media/documentation/s1200/HCP_S1200_Release_Appendix_I.pdf
I'm wondering if there are any resources that provide detailed instructions on how one would set this up on a Prisma? For reference, Frank Yeh's DSI Studio website does a great job documenting how to add a diffusion spectrum imaging protocol to a Prisma.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
FG
Hi,
You won’t be able to replicate the HCP-YA dMRI protocol exactly because the ‘Connectom’ scanner was 100 mT/m gradients, whereas the Prisma is 80 mT/m.
We have a shorter (~20 min), 2-shell dMRI protocol for a Prisma that we used for HCP-Lifespan:
cheers,
-MH

Have a look at the HCP Lifespan protocols: https://www.humanconnectome.org/study/hcp-lifespan-aging/project-protocol/imaging-protocols-hcp-aging
The HCP-YA protocols are a bridge to far for even the Siemens Prisma, because the Connectome scanner had somewhat more powerful gradients.
Matt.
