CSF subsample

In the new release there are ptau, t-tau, NFL etc (e.g.: pT217_Conc_pg_ml, GFAP_Conc_pg_ml, NfL_Conc_pg_ml, tTau_Conc_pg_ml)
1) it is CSF, not plasma, right?
2) CSF data acquisition is never mentioned in the HCPA papers or website, so I figured it might be coming from the ADCP subset of HCP-A (AD focused)? https://www.humanconnectome.org/study/alzheimers-disease-connectome-project
3) if that's the case, then how is it possible that 522/2246 subjects are downloadable with ptau etc. from https://balsa.wustl.edu/project?project=AABC but the ADCP reports a total of n=300 acquired?

Hi Giulia,
1. The Alzheimer’s Disease biomarkers are measured from plasma. Collection of Cerebral Spinal Fluid is not part of the AABC protocol.
2. The Alzheimer’s Disease Connectome Project (ADCP) is a wholly separate project from HCP-A and AABC run by different investigators on different participants. ADCP data has not yet been prepared fully for release on NDA or on BALSA. Depending on funding and personnel availability for the release effort we may be able to release ADCP data in the future. For now, you will need to reach out to the ADCP team about the availability of ADCP biomarker data.
3. Those sessions in AABC Release 1 with AD biomarker data represent AABC visits by HCP-A participants reenrolled for AABC and 50 participants newly recruited to AABC. We did not collect plasma biomarker data for HCP-A visits.
