To whom it may concern,

I'm having trouble downloading the young adult data. On top of the page I see "A browser check indicates that you do not have the Aspera Connect plugin installed, you have an older version installed that is no longer supported or Aspera has not been allowed to run. The Human Connectome Project is using an Aspera FASP™ server to dramatically boost data transfer speeds. Please install this plugin and allow its use before using any of ConnectomeDB's services, including downloading. (Need help with Aspera install?)."
I have however already installed aspera and even tried downloading it from  "https://downloads.asperasoft.com/en/downloads/8?list" but i run into security risks.

Any idea how to proceed?

Hi Danae,
ConnectomeDB and the Aspera server are currently undergoing maintenance (through June 7) as noted at the top of db.humanconnectome.org so that is likely why you are having download issues. If after that window you continue to have problems with Aspera Connect please try the suggestions at https://wiki.humanconnectome.org/docs/Aspera%20Plugin%20Help%20and%20FAQ.html

Best,
Jenn

Hi,

I am also having the same problem as Mitsea,  " On top of the page I see "A browser check indicates that you do not have the Aspera Connect plugin installed, you have an older version installed that is no longer supported or Aspera has not been allowed to run. The Human Connectome Project is using an Aspera FASP™ server to dramatically boost data transfer speeds. Please install this plugin and allow its use before using any of ConnectomeDB's services, including downloading. (Need help with Aspera install?).""
I also installed Aspera Connect on my PC.
Really want to know when can this problem solve ....

Cheers,
Kexin

Hi Kexin,
I just tested Aspera downloading from ConnectomeDB and it is working. Please try the suggestions at https://wiki.humanconnectome.org/docs/Aspera%20Plugin%20Help%20and%20FAQ.html for troubleshooting Aspera Connect.

If none of that works, then I would recommend trying S3 using an S3 browser per our instructions: https://wiki.humanconnectome.org/docs/How%20To%20Connect%20to%20Connectome%20Data%20via%20AWS.html

Let us know how it goes.
Best,

Jenn
