Can't create a BALSA account

Hi all,

I am trying to download this file Glasser_et_al_2016_HCP_MMP1.0_6_AllAreasMap but it seems I need a BALSA account. I created a connectomeDB account but couldn't use those credentials to sign in to BALSA.

The problem is that when I go to create an account I enter all the information and the page just refreshes leaving all the boxes empty again. All the data is correct and the password conforms to the specs including using a symbol. I have also tried this with three separate browsers but still no luck, every time, the page just refreshes and nothing happens.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I am having this issue as well, in both chrome and firefox. Registering for a BALSA account seems to be broken.

Hi Ebrahim,

This sometimes happens if you choose a password that does not meet the requirements: passwords must be at least eight characters, must contain at least one letter, one number, and one special character (!@#$%^&).

You can send me your preferred username and email and I can help you get registered.

That was indeed the issue -- I am used to being coddled by the password validation system and didn't bother to read the instructions :)

I'm sorry, I misread your message. BALSA is not dependent on ConnectomeDB. For BALSA, when you register you need to make sure your password meets the requirements listed. Please try again and let me know if you still have trouble.

On the BALSA website, on register, I include all my information and I got the green flag, so I assume everything was correct.

I am also trying to create an account in https://balsa.wustl.edu/register/register, I still cannot due to issue in register account page(repeated password is not accepted in anyways). How to resolve the issue? I need to download HCP-Young Adult 2025 Release for my research work.
