Dear HCP Support Team,

I am trying to download HCP Young Adult data from BALSA/ConnectomeDB, but the website does not detect Aspera Connect. Instead of the blue download button, I see a message saying that Aspera is required.

I have already checked that IBM Aspera Connect is working correctly using the IBM Aspera Diagnostic Tool. I also tried using a fresh Chrome browser profile with the Aspera Connect extension enabled and no other extensions installed, but the issue is still the same.

The “Confirm - Aspera Connect” dialog asking to allow connections to nrg-aspera1.humanconnectome.org never appears.

Could you please advise what I should do?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Best regards

Since it is a third party tool, I don't have a lot of insight into why it isn't behaving.  But, I can give the general advice of rebooting your computer, trying a different browser, or manually opening the Aspera window first.  If that all fails, you could try using a computer with an older version of linux.
