Connectome_WB_Tutorial_v1.5 / tutorial data -> .spec file missing?

Hi,

I'm new to the workbench and would like to start by following the tutorial step by step. I've downloaded and unpacked HCP_WB_Tutorial_1.5_kN3mg.zip. I assume that HCP_WB_Tutorial_1.5 directory mentioned on page 8 of the pdf is the directory to which I've unpacked the zip. But there I can't find any .spec file mentioned on page 10 of the pdf.

Instead of WB_1.5_Tutorial_DATA.32k_fs_LR.wb.spec I have opened WB_1.5_SCENES.32k_fs_LR.scene as suggested some items below in the tutorial - again I can't find a button labelled "Load".

I'm using workbench 1.5.0 so it should be compatible with the tutorial. Any hints, why there are so many tiny pitfalls?

Hi Christina,

 

It looks like the WB_1.5_Tutorial_DATA.32k_fs_LR.wb.spec is missing from the tutorial data set.

 

• Start wb_view
• If a dialog appears, click the Cancel button.
• Select File Menu  Open Data File.  At the bottom of the Open dialog, change Files of type to “Scene Files (*.scene *.wb_scene)”.  Navigate to the tutorial’s directory and selecte the WB_1.5_SCENES.32k_fs_LR.scene  file.  Click the Open button.
• After opening the file, the scene dialog should appear containing scenes from the scene file.
• Resume the tutorial at the bottom of page 10 with the text “Often views in Workbench require several steps…”
