Artifactory (Tooling Breakout Follow-Up)

I’ve put up a current F/OSS version of Artifactory at https://artifactory.hspconsortium.org in the HSPC AWS account for group evaluation, as requested, with a dedicated 32GiB data volume mounted off EBS for now. (We can always upsize.) The repository options are much more limited than the paid builds of the product, however, and may or may not meet our needs without switching to a more functional license level. If you would like to evaluate the F/OSS version, please email me directly for an account. If we choose to retain the F/OSS version, expect to have the configuration blown away after we evaluate it … we’ll need to integrate with the common HSPC ID system and probably other stuff that may or may not require blowing away the data volume. Not sure.

 

Craig: Is acquiring an annual paid license achievable? It’d be a great asset if the licensing (read: $$$) can be contributed or donated.

Jerry: Have you (or anyone else) used the F/OSS version? I've only used the commercial versions, and the lacker of Docker support may be deal breaker to me. Just curious if anyone has any impressions on using the limited F/OSS version in practice..

I have indeed use the F/OSS version – Which works fine for basic maven artifacts – Sadly you are right about the lack of Docker support.
