Hello
As a follow on to the work presented by Stephen White at the last HSPC meeting  BPMN Presentation

We are hoping to leverage the HSPC platform as a way to exercise such models in a realistic environment

The software we are hoping to leverage is the following open source from Red Had

JBPM from RedHat  - open source Apache 2.0

here is a blog entry about the software as well

If there are no initial issues to address i will start updating the wiki, installing software, etc

Thanks

Sean Muir

FYI, as a long time committer the to JBPM KIE (Drools, JBPM, etc..) codebase,
I would like to assist in any possible way - even when it comes to handling limitations of the software.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for taking this to the list. Context for the group..

At the last HSPC meeting we’d had a side conversation about introducing BPMN/CMMN/DMN tools and engines to the core services run by this team. I think it’s a fantastic idea, directly supportive of related commitments to the OMG Healthcare DTF, and would love to get member-managed instances of both a workbench suite (such as the Red Hat one), as well as a usable execution environment going to start tinkering with things needed for long-term HSPC roadmap milestones. My biggest concerns about this don’t have anything to do about BPMN, but are security related – making sure we’re using the HSPC ID system so management isn’t a nightmare. (Isaac and Patrick: Any issues with doing an SSO integration Real Soon… say pairing up with me the latter half of next week to just get it done?)

What are everyone else’s thoughts? I’d be great to see implementation of the OMG use cases in a meaningful way, especially with Davide volunteering to lend his insight from Mayo’s experiences and the KIE software family.

Preston

@Preston,
using the KIE services is - I think - a general case of introducing third party services in a HSPC/SoF environment

I am still not completely clear on whether - legally - it is possible for an SoF application to leverage non-EHR (FHIR) provided services "just" by living in the same security environment and accepting the same security tokens.

In fact, when I raised the question a few months ago I got different opinions, ranging from "you can't" to "yes, ensure the token is shared" to "no you have to use CDS Hooks" as they only EHR/FHIR server acceptable way to move the data.

Has there been any further discussion on this?

Thanks

I'm in Italy until the 3rd of January - I could be able to find some time next week, but I would need to know in advance.

Yes, sure thing. I also spoke to Rob Lario last week about this. Shoot us an invite!

Robert Lario, Steve White, Sean Muir and myself had a few calls on model execution this week, and it sounds like we're looking to give the Camunda Community Edition suite a shot for the HSPC community. Pending any group concerns or objections, let's plan on deploying this in January.
