Water discoloration notice - Pond St. Spring St. & School St. areas

We are re-publishing a notice on behalf of the Water Department - many recipients of this notice may be receiving it twice.  This is the same message that was shared earlier this morning.  

Please be advised:

The Water Department is returning the Pond Street Well #4 to service today in preparation for the upcoming high-demand season.

Due to changes in hydraulics and increased water velocity within the distribution system, residents in the Pond Street, Spring Street, and School Street areas may experience temporary water discoloration.

If you notice discolored water, please flush your cold water tap only until the water runs clear.
