Crews are currently responding to a water main break near Wild Road & Chestnut Street. 

Nearby areas should expect water disruption. Some areas may notice some discoloration.

UPDATE - WATER MAIN BREAK at Chestnut Street

Crews repaired a large water main break late last night on Chestnut Street. Due to the size and nature of the break, there may be pockets of periodic discoloration for several days.  Hydrants are being flushed to help clear the pipes. 

The water is safe to use.  The discoloration results from minerals on the inside of the pipe that became dislodged during the break.  Discolored water may not be aesthetically pleasing, but it is safe.
