Are you a Veteran or someone who would like to honor the many service members of Hopkinton? Join fellow local Veterans at the Hopkinton Town Common gazebo for Taps on the first Sunday of every month, promptly at 1900 (7:00 pm).
Winter Farmers Market - Sundays from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Weston Nurseries, 93 East Main Street. This Sunday, March 8, MA Dept of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) Commissioner Ashley Randle along with Mass Farmers Markets Executive Director, Edith Murnane and Director of Member Services, Rick Grudzinski will be visiting the Hopkinton Winter Farmers Market. Please stop by if you can!
The mission of the Hopkinton Farmers Market is to 1) provide a venue for local farmers, artisans, and handcrafters to sell their products, 2) improve nutrition by providing greater access to fresh local produce, 3) educate residents about nutrition and sustainable food practices, and 4) build community while contributing to a vibrant town center in downtown Hopkinton. Hopkinton Harvest, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization.
250th: Angels of the Battlefield: Women and War in the 19th Century
Monday, March 9 at 11:00 am, Hopkinton Public Library.
A lecture on the roles women played on the battlefields of Europe and America during the Victorian age. Particular attention will be paid to Florence Nightingale and Clara Barton and the duties they carried out as nurses during some of the bloodiest conflicts of the period. Presented by Paolo Di Gregorio. In collaboration with the Hopkinton Women’s Club, join for a celebration of Women’s History month and the country’s 250th birthday!
Guided Trail Walk - Sunday, March 15
The Hopkinton Trails Club will lead a guided trail walk on March 15 at 1:00 pm, at the Hopkinton State Park, Duck Pond trails. Explore the Hopkinton State Park trails on the other side of Route 85. The main path runs from the DCR ranger station (the Smokey The Bear sign) over to Duck Pond, though a beautiful woods with many stories. Daniel Shays, a pipeline from Lake Whitehall, stone quarrying, and more. Meet at the parking area by the ranger station on Rt. 85 (Cedar St.).
Artful Connections - Tuesday, March 17
Charusmitha Ram and Betsy Johnson will host the event on March 17 at 6:30 pm at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (98 Hayden Rowe). Refreshments are available; the event is free and open to all.
This series is a collaboration between the Hopkinton Freedom Team and the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, with support from Riverside Properties, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Hopkinton Cultural Council, and Hopkinton Youth and Family Services.
