WATER AND SEWER RATE SETTING PUBLIC NOTICE
The Select Board will hold a public meeting to set Water and Sewer rates and receive feedback from the community on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:40 p.m., at Town Hall, 18 Main Street, Hopkinton. The meeting will also be held via Zoom webinar. The new Water and Sewer Rates will be effective as of July 1, 2025.
Rate setting recommendations are: (i) Water - Staff recommendation is for a 25% increase, for an annual cost of $53.96/month for the average user, Water & Sewer Advisory Board (WSAB) recommendation is for a 10% increase, for an annual cost of $47.70/month for the average user, (ii) Sewer - Staff and WSAB recommend 10% increase, for an annual cost of $77.78/month for the average user. The Select Board will also consider whether to offer a Water and Sewer Rate Discount for eligible residents.
