Please be advised that the department will be turning off the Alprilla Farm wells until further notice barring any emergencies or dramatic increase in demand. This should help relieve the discoloration in the area. It may take a few days for the remainder of the discoloration to fully dissipate as it moves back and forth through the system.

Please be advised that due to a power outage, the Ashalnd pump that supplies Hopkinton shut off rapidly and turned back on causing major discoloration. The town is working with our engineers to figure out the solution to help permanently solve the issue in that area.

Update 2PM 10/5/23

Please be advised that due to a power issues, that should now be repaired, the Ashalnd pump that supplies Hopkinton was shutting off and on rapidly causing major discoloration. Multiple hydrants are flushing in the area to try and clear the lines. It is taking longer than normal because the the power outages have been spread out. Hydrants will remain running until the water clears. The town is working with our engineers to figure out the solution to help permanently solve the issue in that area.
