HUD Homeless Assistance
The County of Santa Barbara, as Collaborative Applicant of the Santa Maria/Santa Barbara County Continuum of Care, has released the FY2025 Continuum of Care Program Competition Local Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), available online here.
The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide over $3.9 billion per year in funding for homeless housing and services. This funding is distributed through Continuums of Care (CoCs), which are regional organizations that meet regularly to improve project performance and build community support for responding to homelessness. The national HUD funding notice is available here.
Please note this HUD NOFO contains critical changes to funding priorities and overall processes. This edition rescinds and supersedes the previous two-year program. Because of these changes, the scoring methodology for this funding competition has been significantly revised to meet HUD's new criteria and maximize retention of local funding. Please carefully review HUD's FY 2025 NOFO and all Local NOFO materials before deciding to apply.
