Seeking Applicants for Staff Roles in the College of Heralds

As we anticipate the new leaves in spring, and a new Crown Tourney format and a new peerage, the College of Heralds is looking for new staff volunteers. Now is definitely an exciting time to get involved! 

It is time for me to step down as Brigantia. I hope I have improved some things for the College; I know I did not finish most of what I intended. I have trained Kirsa Dextrochere in the role, and it makes sense to promote her to Brigantia. We are still soliciting applications, however, as we do now for every position. This gives everyone the opportunity to express their interest in getting involved at all levels. We use applications not just to fill the open roles, but also to set up other projects and find out who wants to help. 

Two important Tir Mara positions are being posted - Badger and Blue Alaunt, since both Kirsa and Conn have other roles in the College. Our regional deputies are essential for good communication across the kingdom. We want everyone to feel that they have local support, for the whole range of heraldic activities. 

The Jongleur position was posted in the fall, and received no applications. Rosina has already been in the position longer than intended. No prior heraldic experience is necessary for this role, and it has a well-defined time frame for the work -- only Crown Tournaments! We know many of you are excited about the tournament in the spring, and this would give you a chance to be part of it. 

We need a new Pantheon as well. It has been wonderful to have Anezka staying on in the submissions office to help with the transition of Blue Tyger, but they also have been working long enough there. It is time to train another herald in the deep ways of the submissions process -- it is one of the pillars of the College, and very important to the Kingdom.

Serving as Brigantia has been a highlight of my time in the Society. I have met many excellent and hard-working heralds, and deepened many friendships in the East and across the Known World. It could have been a hard role, but it was not due to the support and service of the College’s volunteers. I say this every time, but I mean it sincerely:
