We've extended the early bird deadline to May 15th to allow students to take advantage of the reduced tuition rates. We are accepting students of ALL LEVELS, ages 14-18. We would greatly appreciate you forwarding this information to students and parents in your program.
The SSMF takes place Sunday, June 25th - Friday, June 30th on the vibrant RiverPark campus at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. Our festival offers young musicians a unique opportunity to grow through chamber music.
Participants will work directly with Schwob faculty in the private lesson setting and be coached as chamber musicians throughout the week. This unique opportunity allows students to develop deep listening skills, effective rehearsal techniques, and robust communication skills.
During the week, the student experience blends devoted individual attention from our incredible faculty with diverse activities that explore many facets of modern music making. Activities include:

Students will be housed in Columbus State University’s loft-style apartment dorms, just a block from the Schwob School of Music, within the vibrant arts community of Columbus' historic downtown.
The level of personal connection to faculty, and immersion in a dynamic curriculum sets SSMF apart from some larger festivals; it's a perfect fit for eager and curious young musicians. Applications for the 2023 Schwob Summer Music Festival are now open. Applications are due June 1.
