I just remembered that some AMD CPUs have an issue with PTI, which
HardenedBSD enables by default, regardless of whether the CPU is
vulnerable to Meltdown.
Can you try booting HardenedBSD 11-STABLE with vm.pmap.pti=0 set in
the bootloader?
